North Projects welcomes Jack Shelley, the newest member of our management team, leading our Melbourne office.

Jack has over 14 years’ experience in the rail, road, aviation, education, health, retail, residential, water & power market sectors. He has a proven track record both nationally and internationally delivering high value and high-risk projects whilst building highly effective and dynamic teams. Driven and diligent, Jack consistently exceeds expectations. He actively pursues challenges; championing clear and concise dialogue between project teams and clients to focus on the details that matter the most.

Originally from the UK, Jack is a classically trained Quantity Surveyor and a chartered member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Jack’s expertise is in commercial management, first principles cost estimating, risk management, procurement advice, and project controls of complex projects. He is also known for his exceptional knowledge of risk-adjusted cost estimating and practical application of statistical analysis and is an expert in Monte Carlo risk simulation modelling for CAPEX and OPEX using @Risk software for cost risks and Primavera Risk Analysis for schedule risks. He is also skilled at facilitating risk workshops including risk & opportunity, constructability, safety in design, value for money and lessons learned.

His diverse experience means he has worked on projects in every stage of the asset lifecycle whether it be planning, acquisition, operations & maintenance or disposal.

Since joining North in July some of the projects that Jack has already worked on with North are the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, UTAS Southern Infrastructure Program, the Westgate Tunnel project, Carlton Connect, North East Link and Footscray Hospital.
