Edward is central to the successful execution of North’s strategic advisory and assurance services globally. He has developed a reputation as a trusted advisor to both public and private sector clients on technical and commercial aspects of major infrastructure projects in sectors across both economic and social infrastructure. Edward holds an MSc in Infrastructure Planning, Appraisal and Development from University College London. The program is run through the OMEGA Centre – a Centre for Excellence in the field of Mega Infrastructure and Development. It provided a critical review of major infrastructure planning and appraisal methods, international practice and assessed how 'fit for purpose' these are for current sustainable development challenges. His research demonstrated that the changing dynamics of major infrastructure development in the UK have produced novel forms of governance, which produce barriers to sound decision-making. Most pertinent were transparency, independence, consistent performance measurement and political insulation. Having advised on over AUD$20bn in major infrastructure projects, Edward’s acute understanding of major infrastructure planning, appraisal and delivery coupled with an innate aptitude for stakeholder management make him a valuable addition to any major infrastructure project. |
