New Royal Adelaide Hospital

The 800-bed Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH) is South Australia’s flagship hospital, providing a comprehensive range of the most complex clinical care to an estimated 85,000 inpatients and 400,000 outpatients each year.

Celsus appointed North and to provide project management services and independent program advice in order to bring this highly complex project to completion.

When North was appointed, the project was 12-months behind program and was incurring significant daily delay costs. The project required a ‘whole-of-project’ solution that clearly and independently assessed the outstanding works and provided an unambiguous pathway to completion.

The outcome was the successful completion of one of South Australia’s most significant projects in the past 50 years. North continues to provide services to the consortium and its board as it navigates various commercial disputes on the project.
