West Gate Tunnel
The West Gate Tunnel involves the widening of the West Gate Freeway from 8 to 12 lanes, between the M80 and Williamstown Road, a new road tunnel under Yarraville, a bridge over the Maribyrnong River and an elevated road along Footscray Road with connections to the Port of Melbourne, CityLink and the western edge of Melbourne’s CBD.
